Henry Kissinger 1923- American Politician
In 1968 he became an advisor to the Nixon campaign. After Nixon was elected he became the National Security Advisor. During this time he took control of US foreign policy, and was named Secretary of State in 1973, a position he held until the end of the Ford Administration. After returning to private life, Kissinger produced a number of best-selling books and continued to offer his expertise in foreign affairs as a media commentator. Bibliography: Israel, Fred.
